The applicant must be certified in PDA category #12 or equivalent in another state.

The applicant must successfully complete the program included in this manual.
|
|
3.
|
The applicant must have a minimum of two years experience in wood destroying insect
inspections.
|
|
4.
|
The applicant must show evidence of completing a minimum of twenty five WDIR in
accordance with the concept and strategies presented in the manual.
|
|
5.
|
The applicant must sucessfully complete the final exams of this program within two
years. The applicant may retake the exam at the next scheduled offering.
|
|
6.
|
Payment of applicable processing, training, examination, update and/or renewal fees.
|
|
7.
|
Verify completion of Dow Agrosciences Chemical Co. "Inspection Concept Training".
|
|
8.
|
Verify completion of three elective training videos. Many training videos that are
prepared by pest control businesses, pest management consultants, and product suppliers
offer excellent instruction for WDI inpsectors. The information provided in the manual
will supersede any information offered through these programs.

The applicant to submit 3 field reports including graphs which will be evaluated by any
person who has successfully completed the "Trainer" program. This evaluation is subject
to an on-site spot check. The field reports are to be prepared to these standards: (1)
One report to be of a property which has no evidence of WDI, (2) One report to be of a
property which has visibile WDI damage and signs of activity, and (3) One report to be of
a property which has visible insect damage but no signs of activity.
